Mr. Muhammad Hamza holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Government College University
Faisalabad, Pakistan, with a specialization in inorganic chemistry (2020). He completed his MS in
Chemistry from the University of Education Lahore, Pakistan (2023). He worked as a research intern
at the Centre for Environmental Protection Studies, Pakistan Council for Scientific and Industrial
Research Laboratories (PCSIR), Lahore (2021–2022). His master’s thesis was based on the synthesis of
organic polymer flocculants and their application for wastewater treatment. His current research
aims to develop sustainable and efficient methods for removing per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances
(PFAS) from contaminated water by utilizing nanocellulose-based biohybrid aerogels
(BHA).

Mr. Muhammad Husnain Manzoor completed a bachelor degree in chemistry, with a specialization in Organic
Chemistry in 2020 from the Government College University Faisalabad, Pakistan. He got his Master of
Philosophy degree in Chemistry in 2022 from the University of Agriculture Faisalabad, Pakistan. His
master’s thesis was based on the “Wastewater Treatment Using Green Nano-biochar”. He worked as a
Research Assistant at the University of Engineering and Technology, Faisalabad (2023–2024). He is a
doctoral student at the Department of Sustainable Bioproducts, MSU. His current research focuses on
“Catalytic Conversion of Biomass-Derived Carbohydrates to Green Fuels and Chemicals Using Novel
Cost-Effective Nano-Catalysts”.

Mr. Mostafa Mohamed Gaafar has a bachelor's degree in Chemistry in 2018 and completed his master's degree in
Organic Chemistry in 2022 from Faculty of Science, Damietta University, Egypt. He worked as a Teaching
Assistant at the Chemistry department, Faculty of Science at Damietta University, Egypt (2020-2022) and then
as a Lecture Assistant (2022-2024). His master's degree was based on the synthesis and modification of
polymers and their biological and water remediation applications. Presently, he is a Doctoral student at the
Department of Sustainable Bioproducts, MSU. His current research focuses on the Conversion of
lignocellulosic biomass to value-added chemicals using heterogeneous catalytic systems.
